Have any questions?
We are here for you
What is mental health?
We all have mental health which is made up of our beliefs, thoughts, feelings and behaviours. For more detailed information, please click here to access the page about “What is Mental Health?”.
Can you prevent mental health problems?
Everyone may encounter mental health challenges but developing our resilience and seeking help early can help prevent challenges becoming serious.
Are there cures for mental health problems?
It is often more realistic and helpful to first assess what specific mental health problems you are facing and then find out proper resources that can help addressing your problems. Talking to trusted ones, counselling, medication, friendships, exercise, good sleep and nutrition, and meaningful occupation can help.
What do I do if the support doesn’t help?
It can take time to find the method that is most suitable for you. It’s important to be open to a range of approaches and to be committed to finding the right help and to stay hopeful. If you feel lost or uncertain what to do next, feel free to chat with our trained volunteers.
What causes mental health problems?
Challenges or problems with your mental health can arise from psychological, biological, and social issues, as well as life events.
What do I do if I’m worried about my mental health?
It is very important to let other people know your worries. For example, you can talk to someone you trust, such as a friend, family member, mentor, or family doctor. If you cannot find one like that, please feel free to chat with our trained volunteers or other hotlines that support mental health. Before talking to someone, if you have time, you can also do a self-assessment about what you are experiencing. You can use the self-assessment result to open a conversation and get proper help.
What should I do if I’m worried about a friend or relative?
This may depend on your relationship with the person and your capacity to help. Gently encouraging someone to seek appropriate support would be helpful to start with.
